Narrow Boats:

This vessel is quite possibly unique in what has happened to her. Some years ago (late 1970s?) the bow and stern of this craft were cut off and apparently used to make a bar in the pub The Little Dry Dock, on the Dudley No1 Canal near Windmill End, Netherton in the West Midlands - where they stand to this day.
The mid-section of the boat was not merely destroyed - as has happened so often - but was encased in steel and new bow and stern fabricated to give the appearance of a modern looking vessel.
The webmaster would be grateful for any more information on when, why and by whom any of the above occurred.
